Loreal Prystaj

About the Artist

Loreal Prystaj is a visual artist based in New York City and London. She is currently attending the Royal College of Art in London to obtain her MA in Photography. Her work often exposes the relationship between time and space, with a juxtaposition of the human form and its environment. She expresses ideas through her photography and uses the medium consistently – in installation and interactive pieces – as well as using herself as a character or form in her performance and video work.

"Powerful and gentle – you are all things.
You are everywhere
like a thread of water
persistently moving
you weave through Earth’s surface.
Shaping the World.
Though you are mysterious
you are open.
Affecting all you touch.
Your gentleness sooths
and
your fearlessness intimidates
like a thorn on a flower’s stem.
Your beauty is a rose . . .
soft as a petal
and blossoms over time.
You evolve
steadily.
You are a Goddess.
Possessing the depth of Mother Nature
the focus of a warrior.
You are Harmony
Graceful and strong.
You shape the World.
You are all things.
you
are
everywhere."
