Dancer Youngning series
"What is dance? It is a series of movements.
What is photography? It is capturing a split second in time.
How do you capture a series of movements in a split second?
This collection challenges the boundary of photography and create "moving" images that show passage of time." - the artist.

Dancer Gama series
Shot at Kaohsiung, Taiwan while Cody was teaching and choreographing for Tsoying High School. “Gama was 15 years old and I felt there were potentials in her that have yet to be discovered. I invited her to the studio as I thought she has some very special energy and dynamic in her movements. Turned out that it was a photography session that not only has she surprised me but also herself, with the ability to effortlessly control her body in creating layers of momentum floating across frames.” - the artist. |
Dancer Flora series
"Follow not only the movement, but breathe with the dancers" is Cody's approach to his dance photography. He believes that a movement doesn’t stop at the point the dancer completes it. It is still there floating around, creating levels of vibrations across the air and enveloping the space with its heat and scent.
