About the Artist
Brendon Kahn is a Southwest, USA based visual artist and graduate of The California College of the Arts in Photography. He won the Ashurst Emerging Artist Prize for Photography 2019.
Driven by curiosity, Kahn navigates a surreal landscape where the ordinary is distorted and the familiar becomes unsettling. This fascination with the inexplicable is rooted in a lifelong sense of displacement. Adopted from Poland under difficult circumstances, he has struggled to feel truly rooted in any place. Constant moves during his childhood and a biological distance from his origins have led him to question notions of belonging and identity. His work reflects this ongoing exploration of place, memory, and the human condition.
